Shurooq signifies the sunrise time when the upper edge of the sun just begins to peek over the horizon. It also marks the conclusion of the time for Fajr (morning) prayer.

Qiyam

The term Qiyam-ul-layl, literally translates to 'standing during the night.' This voluntary prayer is typically offered between the time of the Ishaa prayer and the Fajr prayer (before dawn). However, the most ideal time for this prayer is in the final third of the night, just before sunrise.

The difference between Standard and Hanafi (Juristic Methods)

According to the standard method, followed by Imams Shafii, Hanbali, and Maliki, the commencement of the Asr prayer is marked when an object's shadow equals its height.
