Andorra is a small Pyrenean principality with a tiny Muslim community, estimated at well under one percent of the population (Pew 2010 baseline). The Muslim presence is largely composed of recent migrants from Morocco and other North African countries who arrived during late twentieth-century labor inflows tied to tourism and construction. There is no purpose-built mosque in the country; the community has historically gathered in a converted prayer room in Escaldes-Engordany, sometimes referred to locally as the Mezquita de Andorra. Religious life is informal and depends on visiting imams, often from Spain or France. Andorra has no state-recognized Islamic authority and falls outside the bilateral acuerdos that govern Muslim life in neighboring Spain. eSalah uses the Muslim World League (MWL) default for Andorra, which aligns with European convention; users can override to UCIDE Spain or French UOIF parameters depending on community ties. The community is too small to support an Islamic school or formal madrasah, and most observant families travel to Lleida or Barcelona for major holidays and halal provisioning.
