Antigua and Barbuda has a small Muslim community estimated at well under one percent of the population, numbering perhaps a few hundred adherents in a country of approximately 100,000. The community is composed primarily of recent immigrants from Guyana, Trinidad, and South Asia, along with a smaller number of Caribbean-born converts. The Antigua Muslim Brotherhood, also known as the Islamic Center of Antigua, operates a small masjid in St. John's that serves as the primary congregational space for Friday prayers. There is no state Islamic authority, and the community is administered informally by visiting scholars and community elders. eSalah uses the Muslim World League default for Antigua and Barbuda, consistent with much of the Caribbean. The community maintains links to the larger Trinidadian and Guyanese Muslim networks for halal certification, religious education, and Ramadan resources, and many local Muslims travel to Trinidad or Florida for Eid prayers and major life-cycle events.
