Prayer times in Luxembourg

Default method: mwl · Capital: Luxembourg · 3 regions indexed

Luxembourg has a Muslim community of approximately 3 percent of the population, numbering roughly 18,000 to 20,000 adherents. The community is composed predominantly of Bosniak and Albanian Kosovar migrants who arrived during and after the 1990s Yugoslav wars, alongside Turkish, Moroccan, Tunisian, and more recent Syrian refugee components and a smaller native Luxembourger convert population. The community is concentrated in Luxembourg City and the southern industrial belt. The community is overwhelmingly Sunni of the Hanafi school. The Shoura (Choura), the umbrella body for the Muslim community of Luxembourg, was officially recognized by the Grand Duchy in 2015 alongside other religious communities under the new framework that replaced the Catholic concordat-based system. The principal mosque in Luxembourg City and additional prayer spaces in Esch-sur-Alzette and Differdange serve the community. There is no Islamic university or major madrasah operating within the country. eSalah uses the Muslim World League default for Luxembourg; the Diyanet method is offered as an alternate given Turkish-origin congregational presence.
