Saint Kitts and Nevis has a very small Muslim community estimated at well under 0.5 percent of the population, numbering perhaps 100 to 200 adherents in a federation of approximately 53,000. The community is composed of a small number of Caribbean-origin converts and resident professionals from South Asia and the Middle East. There is no purpose-built mosque on either island, and Friday prayers when held are typically conducted in private homes or rented community spaces in Basseterre and Charlestown. There is no state Islamic authority. eSalah uses the Muslim World League default for Saint Kitts and Nevis, consistent with broader Caribbean regional practice. The community maintains close ties with the larger Antiguan, Trinidadian, and U.S. Caribbean diaspora Muslim networks for religious education, halal certification, and Eid coordination, and most observant residents travel to Antigua, Trinidad, or to the New York and Florida Caribbean Muslim communities for major religious life-cycle events and advanced Islamic education.
