Silent letter — Written but not pronounced — hamzat al-waṣl, the sun-lām, a silent alif
Ghunnah (nasalisation) — Nasal sound on a doubled nūn or mīm, and the nūn-sākin / tanwīn rules (ikhfāʾ, idghām, iqlāb)
Qalqalah (echo) — A slight bounce on qāf, ṭāʾ, bāʾ, jīm or dāl when they carry a sukūn

    إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ ٢

    Indeed, mankind is in loss,

    إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ ٣

    Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
